The Bravest Of Cowards

What worth is a man without fear –
What is there for him to strive for?
Why does he hold nothing dear,
And what would he do or die for?
To the fearless man,
is his boldness mere bluster?
Handsome, vaunted, and
vomitous
as pokeberry clusters
and equally numb in the skin and the soul
To be born without fear,
to be born as a fool
